The clock tower stands 1 km off, the world's largest mailbox is 1.1 km away, and the Wat Phutthathiwat temple is 1.6 km away. Together they make up much of the town's landmarks, and the petanque court and the municipal stadium nearby are where local sport takes place.

For a day out, start at the market and then walk or drive to the clock tower, the mailbox and the temple, which are spread across the town.
