A good day out could start at Jim Thompson House and continue through the Siam shopping streets, or with a longer trip to the Grand Palace, 5.2 km from the hotel, where the Temple of the Emerald Buddha stands inside the royal complex. Wat Arun, on the Thonburi side of the Chao Phraya River, is a further stop for a riverside visit.
