Emporium Suites by Chatrium

Every room at Emporium Suites by Chatrium has a city view, a private bathroom with a bathtub and a shower, and bathrobes, toiletries, a hair dryer and an electric kettle. Cleaning products and a mirror are also provided in each room. The accommodation runs from deluxe rooms to one- and two-bedroom suites, and the two-bedroom suites sleep up to five guests.

Rooms can also have an in-room safe, a minibar, a refrigerator, a microwave, kitchenware, a coffee and tea maker, slippers and ironing facilities, along with air conditioning. Beds range from single and double to king and queen, depending on the room, and free Wi-Fi covers all rooms.

Emporium Suites by Chatrium is on Sukhumvit Soi 24 in the Phrom Phong area, one of central Bangkok's busiest shopping and business districts along Sukhumvit Road. The BTS Skytrain runs above the main road, and Phrom Phong BTS Station is 100 m away, giving access to much of the city. The Emporium shopping complex is next door, and the rest of the district is a mix of offices, malls and apartment buildings.

Within a short walk is Benchasiri Park, a green city park with walking paths. Siam Paragon, a large shopping mall with an ocean aquarium and cinemas, is 4.1 km away, and the Jim Thompson House museum, a collection of traditional Thai houses set around a garden, is 4.9 km away. Jim Thompson House was the home of the American entrepreneur who revived the Thai silk industry. The Grand Palace, which houses the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, is 8.7 km away.

A good day out combines the Grand Palace with Wat Arun, a riverside temple on the Chao Phraya, which can be reached by taxi or by boat along the river. Both sights can be visited in one day, and tours can be arranged through the hotel if you prefer not to plan the route yourself. Suvarnabhumi Airport is 20.1 km away, and the hotel offers an airport transfer.
