Siam Paragon and MBK Center are shopping centres within a short taxi ride. The Grand Palace and Wat Arun are around 5.5 km away and are usually reached by taxi.

A good day could start at the Jim Thompson House, a house museum of Thai art and silk, and then continue to Dusit Arun Garden, a green space next to the hotel. In the evening, return to Silom, where the streets around the hotel fill with restaurants and bars, and the Chatuchak Weekend Market, at 8 km, is a longer trip for a different day.
