Dream House Sathorn is on Soi Charoen Rat 1 in the Yannawa district, in the Sathorn area of Bangkok. The streets here mix office towers and apartment blocks with older shophouses, mosques and temples, so daily life feels more local than in the big shopping districts. Sathorn is one of the city's main business districts, and the Chao Phraya river runs close by, which suits those who want a base close to the commercial core and a quieter side street.

The Skytrain is the simplest way to get around without a car: Surasak BTS Station is 300 m away and Saint Louis BTS Station is 800 m away. Across the river, Wat Arun stands on the Thonburi bank, while Asiatique - The Riverfront, a riverside shopping and leisure complex, lies 2.4 km away. The Jim Thompson House, a museum set in a group of traditional teak houses, is also an easy trip from the area.

A full day can take in the Grand Palace, 5 km away, and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, which shares the same complex, before crossing the river to Wat Arun and finishing the evening at Asiatique. The Skytrain and taxis cover the rest of the trip, so the sights are linked without a car.
