Dome Kata Resort offers twin and double rooms: some have two single beds, others a King bed or a double bed. Several rooms overlook the city, and the Deluxe Twin Room and the Deluxe Double Room each measure 32 m². Rooms can have air conditioning, a telephone, satellite or cable channels, a refrigerator and free bottled water.

The Grand Superior and the Grand Superior Twin Room each measure 45 m² and sleep up to two guests, with a shower in the private bathroom. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and the 24-hour front desk is open round the clock.

Phuket's best-known sights are all within day-trip range of Kata. Wat Chalong, the island's most revered Buddhist temple, is 4.5 km away, and the Phuket Big Buddha, a large white statue on Nakkerd Hills, is 1.3 km from the resort. Patong Beach, with its bars and nightlife, is 6.8 km away, and Phuket International Airport is 31.7 km away. Most sights are a taxi ride away and can be combined in a single day, with the beaches and temples often visited on the same outing.

A full day could start on Kata Beach, continue with a visit to Wat Chalong and then the Big Buddha in the afternoon, and end with the Kata Night Market, which is close to the resort. Phuket's beaches and temples are both reached by road, so a taxi or hired car is the easiest way to combine them.
