A day could start early at the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, then cross to Wat Arun by river boat before returning to the Khaosan streets for an evening meal. The Democracy Monument stands on Ratchadamnoen Avenue nearby, and the October 14 Memorial and the Rattanakosin Exhibition Hall are close by for a museum stop. Sanam Luang, the large open ground in front of the Grand Palace, is also a short distance from the hotel, so a walk between the old city's main sights is easy to plan on a single day.
