The main road comes alive in the evening, while the sois that branch off it are calmer, so the house sits on a quiet street close to the busier avenue. Along the avenue you will find cafes, bars and boutiques, and in the evening the district draws a late crowd.

Ekkamai BTS station is 450 m away, and the Eastern Bus Terminal is 550 m from the house, so public transport is easy to reach on foot. Soi 38 Nightmarket is 950 m away. For the historic centre, The Grand Palace is 10.8 km away, and Wat Arun stands on the opposite bank of the Chao Phraya. Suvarnabhumi Airport is 18 km away.

In the evening, the restaurants and bars of Ekkamai and the Soi 38 night market are the easiest options without travelling far. For a day out, the Grand Palace and Wat Arun make a full morning in the old city, and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha sits inside the Grand Palace complex, so one visit covers both. The malls of the Siam area are reachable by Skytrain for shopping, and Chatuchak Weekend Market is further out and is best visited at the weekend.
