DD Hut Bungalows

The rooms at DD Hut Bungalows run from garden-view rooms to a 72 m² villa with its own private pool and a sea view, and include triple and quadruple rooms for up to four guests. Most rooms have a private bathroom with a shower, a hair dryer and toiletries.

Bed set-ups vary: most of the doubles have one king bed, one room has two single beds, and the 42 m² deluxe triple room combines a king bed with a single bed. Each room has its own size and capacity, so the right choice depends on your group.

DD Hut Bungalows has outdoor and indoor swimming pools, a private beach and a garden, along with a restaurant, a poolside bar and room service. The resort also has a bar, a terrace and non-smoking rooms, and a family room is available.

Diving, snorkelling, fishing, billiards, bicycle rental and tours are offered, and there is also a taxi service and a concierge. Daily housekeeping is provided, and English and Thai are spoken.

Practical services include luggage storage, dry cleaning, safety deposit boxes and express check-in and check-out. There is free parking on site, parking nearby and valet parking are also offered, and Wi-Fi is free in all rooms and available in public areas.

DD Hut Bungalows sits on Sairee Beach, the main beach on Ko Tao, an island in the Gulf of Thailand. The beach is 50 m away, and the stretch along the sand is lined with dive shops and bars. Sairee Beach is the best-known stretch of sand on the island, and many people come to Ko Tao for its water. Diving is a big part of life on the island, and several dive centres sit close to the resort.

Ko Tao is an island, so the last leg of any journey is by boat, and the island's ferry pier at Mae Haad is 650 m from the resort. Haad Ao Mae, a small beach, is 350 m away, and Sairee Viewpoint, a lookout above the coast, is 1.4 km away. Koh Nang Yuan, a group of small islands joined by sandbars, is a popular trip for snorkellers and is reached by boat from the island.

A good day could start with a swim at Sairee Beach, continue with a diving or snorkelling trip, and end with a visit to Sairee Viewpoint, where the lookout gives a view back over the coast. After dark, the bars along the sand are a short walk from the resort.
