Kalim Beach lies 1.1 km away, while Chaithararam Temple, known as Wat Chalong, is 7.2 km away and the hilltop Big Buddha is 8.5 km away. Kata and Karon, the neighbouring beaches, are reached by road from Patong.

A good day could start on Patong Beach, then continue to the temple and the Big Buddha, which has views over the island, before returning to Bangla Road and the night market in the evening. Kata and Karon offer a change of scene from the busy bay. Phuket International Airport is the nearest airport, and you can rent a car or scooter to move between the beaches and temples.
