The setting is calm and local, with everyday neighbourhood life rather than the sights of the old city. Ngamwongwan Road is a long, busy route with shops and offices along much of its length, so the hotel is close to daily amenities.

Khae Rai MRT station is 350 m away and links the hotel to the metro network. Don Mueang International Airport, the closest airport, is 10.5 km away, and Chatuchak Weekend Market, a large weekend market for food, clothes and crafts, is also a well-known stop for visitors. Wat Arun, the riverside temple with its tall, pale prang, lies across the Chao Phraya from the Grand Palace, which is 12.8 km away.

A day could start at Chatuchak Weekend Market, then head to the Grand Palace and the temples on the river. Nearer to the hotel, Makutromsaran Park, 800 m away, offers a green space for a walk, and the Museum of Nonthaburi and Nonthaburi Ferry Pier are a little further out. Travel between the hotel and the sights is easiest by metro and taxi.
