The nearest station is Makkasan Train Station, 300 m away, and the Airport Rail Link runs from Ratchaprarop Station, also close by, to Suvarnabhumi Airport, 23.1 km from the hotel. Siam Paragon, a large shopping centre with an aquarium and cinemas, is 1.3 km away, and Jim Thompson House, a museum of Thai silk and art in traditional teak houses, lies a little further on. The Thai silk museum and the malls make a good contrast with the street life of the night market.

A day could start at the Grand Palace, 5.9 km away, and Wat Arun, across the Chao Phraya river, before returning to the Neon Night Bazaar in the evening. Chatuchak Weekend Market, 5.3 km away, is the place to go at the weekend, with hundreds of stalls spread over a large site.
