A full day could take in the Grand Palace, 19 km away in old Bangkok, where the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Wat Phra Kaew, sits inside the palace walls and is one of the most visited sights in the city. The route from the hotel is best planned in advance, as the distances are considerable and traffic in the city can be heavy.
