The Airport Rail Link Ratchaprarop Station is 150 m away, and its line runs to Suvarnabhumi Airport, while Phaya Thai station, a Skytrain stop, is also nearby. Siam Paragon, a large mall with restaurants and cinemas, is 950 m away, while Jim Thompson House, a teak-built museum with a collection of Thai art, is 1.4 km away.

A full day could start at The Grand Palace, 5.3 km away, with the Temple of the Emerald Buddha beside it, then cross the river to Wat Arun. The riverside sights are linked by ferries that cross between the two banks. In the evening, the riverside Asiatique The Riverfront makes a relaxed finish, and the Chatuchak Weekend Market, open on weekends only, is a larger outing.
