Beaches are the main draw. Long Beach, also known as Phra Ae Beach, is 850 m away and is another long stretch of sand, which is useful if you want a second beach close by. Kantiang Bay, 1.9 km away, has its own beaches and resorts along the shore. Lanta Old Town, 12.6 km away, is the island's older settlement. Getting around the island is mainly by road, so a scooter or a taxi helps for trips further afield.

A good day out is Mu Ko Lanta National Park, 18.9 km away, which protects a stretch of the island's coast and forest, with walking trails through the trees. Krabi International Airport, 52.7 km away on the mainland, means the trip to the island includes a ferry, so plan the arrival with that in mind. Mu Ko Lanta National Park and Lanta Old Town can be visited on the same trip, since both are reached by road from the resort.
