Coconut Grove

The rooms at Coconut Grove combine queen, king and single beds in different ways, and some sleep up to four guests. Some look out onto the street or the city, and a few have a balcony or terrace. Rooms can include air conditioning, a shower, toiletries and a flat-screen TV, depending on the room.

Children are welcome. Those aged 3 to 12 can stay free of charge when using the existing bedding, and infants up to 2 years old can do the same, with a baby cot available on request, subject to availability. An extra bed carries an additional charge and depends on the room you choose.

Coconut Grove is in Chaweng, the lively beach area on the east coast of Koh Samui, on a small soi close to Ask Bar. Chaweng is known for its long sandy beach and for the bars, restaurants and shops that line the streets behind it, so the hotel suits visitors who want the sea, the shops and the nightlife close at hand. Nearby are cabarets, bars and small fashion shops such as Rocky's Fashion.

Chaweng Yai Beach is 400 m away, and the Night Market, with its evening food stalls and street shopping, is 500 m from the hotel. Central Festival Samui, a large shopping centre, is 350 m away, and the walking street, lined with bars and restaurants, is 750 m from the hotel. Getting around Chaweng on foot suits the beach and the shops, while car hire, a taxi service and bicycle rental cover longer trips across the island. Samui Airport is on the island itself, a short distance from the hotel.

A day could begin with a swim at Chaweng Yai Beach, followed by a visit to the Big Buddha, 4.4 km away on the hill above Bophut. Snorkelling and diving trips can be arranged, and the evening can be spent at the Night Market or along the walking street before a meal at one of the restaurants nearby.
