Citrus House Phra-Arthit

The whole property is let as one apartment, and its suite measures 55 m² with a garden view, air conditioning and a whirlpool bathtub. It sleeps up to eight guests, with a choice of bed set-ups.

The suite has its own private bathroom, with a shower, hair dryer, toiletries and towels, plus an electric kettle. A dining table sits in the suite, and the apartment is fitted with air conditioning and a TV.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, and there are internet services and Wi-Fi in the public areas as well. The property has a hot tub and a coffee shop, and the suite has its own TV. The hot tub is a good way to finish a day of sightseeing.

Free parking nearby is available for guests who arrive by car. The property is smoke-free, and the reception staff speak both English and Thai, so arrival questions can be asked in either language.

Citrus House Phra-Arthit sits in Phra Arthit, a riverside stretch of Banglamphu, the old district of Bangkok that faces the Chao Phraya river. Nearby is the Khaosan district, a lively pocket of guesthouses, street-food stalls and bars along Khaosan Road, which is 500 m away, while the Phra Arthit Pier is 100 m away. Small temples and old shophouses line the lanes behind the river, and the Chao Phraya is the easiest way to move between these sights, since the piers and ferries run along the bank.

The historic core of the city is close. The Grand Palace is 1.5 km away, and Wat Arun, the temple on the Thonburi bank of the river, is 2.2 km away. Santichaiprakan Park runs along the water nearby, and Phra Sumen Fort and the Bangkok National Museum are close by, so the old monuments make a good first stop.

Don Mueang International Airport is 20.5 km away. For a day out, walk the riverside from Phra Arthit to the Grand Palace, then cross to Wat Arun by one of the river ferries, and continue to the Chatuchak Weekend Market, which is a longer trip across town and opens at weekends. The river is also the simplest way to see the city from the water.
