The Chumphon Night Market, 1.1 km away, is a good place for an evening meal, and the railway station, 1.2 km away, serves the southern line. The Chumphon National Museum is 4.1 km away and covers the province's history and culture, while Choke Anan Bus Station, 750 m away, is the stop for onward buses.

For a day in town, the temple and the monument are close to the resort, and the night market is best for the evening. Arphakorn Kiattiwong Park, 1.9 km away, is a simple place to walk after a meal. Boats to Ko Tao leave from Pak Nam Chumphon, the port on the coast, and Ko Tao is an island with no bridge, so the last part of that trip is by sea. Rough seas can disrupt crossings in the rainy months.
