Siam Paragon, a large shopping centre, is 2.8 km away, and the Grand Palace in the old city is 7.4 km away. Nearby Soi Cowboy is a lively bar street, and the Chatuchak Weekend Market is one of Bangkok's largest weekend markets.

For a day out, Benchakitti Forest Park is a short walk from the apartment and gives a green break from the traffic. Jim Thompson House is a museum in traditional Thai houses assembled by the American silk entrepreneur Jim Thompson. Walking back from the stations to the apartment takes you past the shops and restaurants of Sukhumvit, so the area is easy to explore on foot. Suvarnabhumi Airport is 21.4 km away.
