The area suits guests who want to be on the BTS and MRT lines rather than in the old town, with plenty of shops and services close to the Asok interchange, where the two lines meet. The stations are the main reason to stay here, since the BTS and MRT give quick access to much of the city.

Asok BTS station is 300 m away and Sukhumvit MRT station is nearby, so the rest of the city is reachable by rail. Benjakitti Forest Park, 500 m away, offers a green break from the traffic of Sukhumvit, and the Kamthieng House Museum, housed in a traditional northern Thai teak house, is also close. Siam Paragon, a large shopping mall, is reachable by BTS, and the Chatuchak Weekend Market, 7.2 km away, is one of the largest markets in Bangkok.

A good day could start with an early walk through Benjakitti Forest Park, then travel to the old town for the Grand Palace, 7.4 km away, and Wat Arun on the Chao Phraya river. Back on Sukhumvit, the BTS and MRT make it simple to return in the evening.
