Centara Ayutthaya

The rooms at Centara Ayutthaya range from deluxe rooms to suites, and several of them have city views. Free WiFi is available in all rooms. Some rooms have a bathtub seat, a roll-in shower or an additional toilet, and several bathrooms come with bathrobes, a hair dryer and toiletries.

Capacity runs from three guests in most rooms to four in the Executive Suite King and five in the Double Room, and rooms measure between 30 and 63 m². Some bathrooms have a walk-in shower, and others have a roll-in shower with a bathtub seat. Several rooms also have satellite or cable channels and a telephone.

Centara Ayutthaya is in the Bang Pa-in area of Ayutthaya, the former capital of the Siamese kingdom, and the old city is a drive away. The Historic City of Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the main draw of the province, with ruined temples and palaces dating from the 14th to the 18th century. Ayutthaya City Park and a bus terminal are nearby, so the hotel is a practical base for both the town and the wider province.

Nearby sights include the King Chulalongkorn Monument, 200 m from the hotel, and Wat Phanan Choeng, a riverside temple with a large seated Buddha image, 3.6 km away. Wat Mahathat, known for its Buddha head set in tree roots, is 5.3 km away, and Wat Chaiwatthanaram, with its Khmer-style prang, is another of the ruins to see.

A full day can be spent at the ruins of the Historic City, 5.9 km away, reached by taxi or by bicycle. The Ayothaya Floating Market & Elephant Village, 3.5 km away, makes a good afternoon stop, with a floating market and an elephant village in one place. The ruins are spread over a wide area, so a taxi or car hire is useful for covering more than a few sites.
