Cast away

Free Wi-Fi is available in every room at Cast away. The rooms range from double rooms with a garden view to a 20 m² bungalow with a full kitchen, and two of the double rooms have air conditioning and look out onto the garden.

The 20 m² bungalow has a double bed for up to two guests, along with air conditioning and a full kitchen. One room is assigned when you arrive and sleeps up to three guests. Children aged 2 to 12 can stay free when they use the existing bedding, and an extra bed incurs an additional charge.

Koh Kret, the river island known for its pottery workshops and its Mon community, is about 600 m away, so the setting is riverside and residential rather than dense and urban. It is a quieter setting than central Bangkok, which lies to the south.

Temples are close by: Wat Chan, a pagoda 450 m away, and the Wat Seangsiritham Floating Market, 1.2 km away. Wat Poramai Yikawat is also in the area, and Bhumirak Chaloemprakiarti Park, a public park in Nonthaburi, makes a green break from the city streets. Don Mueang International Airport is 14.5 km away and Suvarnabhumi Airport is 39.2 km away, both reached by road. The Sai Ma and Bang Rak Noi Tha It MRT stations are also in the area.

A day can begin on Koh Kret, then continue to Nonthaburi Market, a local market, and the Museum of Nonthaburi, which covers the history of the province. For larger shopping, Central Plaza Westgate, a large mall, is in the area. Visitors who like the river can spend a relaxed afternoon watching the boats on the Chao Phraya, which runs past the island and the surrounding villages.
