Sai Daeng Beach is on Ko Tao, a small island in the Gulf of Thailand that is reached only by boat, with no airport and no bridge to the mainland. Ko Tao is one of Thailand's best-known diving islands, and diving and snorkelling are the main draw here. Many visitors come to Ko Tao for the sea, and a stay here is built around boats and the water. The coast is made up of small bays and coves, with hills rising above them.
