Lamai Beach is 250 m away, and the Lamai Sunday Nightmarket, held on Sunday evenings, is 50 m from the guesthouse. Wat Lamai, a pagoda in the village, is also nearby, and the Lamai Fresh Food Market is close by. Samui Airport (USM), the island's airport, is 8.8 km away, and Central Festival Samui, a large shopping centre, is 7 km away. Hin Ta & Hin Yai Rocks, granite formations on the coast, are 2.3 km away.

A good plan is to visit Hin Ta & Hin Yai Rocks in the morning, return to Lamai Beach for the afternoon, and finish at the Sunday night market if your visit falls on a Sunday. Na Muang Waterfall, in the hills inland, makes a longer excursion for a day when you want to see more of the island, and Lamai works well as a base for day trips to Chaweng Noi Beach and the other beaches of the island.
