Kiat Thongchai Market is also close by, and the Magic Art Museum Bangkok is a few minutes' stroll away. The Chatuchak Weekend Market, 2.6 km away, is one of Bangkok's best-known markets, with stalls spread across a large site at weekends. The Grand Palace and the temples of the old city lie on the other side of the river, a longer trip from here, and reaching them takes some planning.

A good day could start early at the Chatuchak Weekend Market, then return to Ratchada for the Huay Kwang Night Bazaar in the evening, which is close enough to walk from the hotel. For longer journeys, Don Mueang International Airport, 14.8 km away, is the nearer of Bangkok's two airports.
