A good day could start at the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, cross the river to Wat Arun by boat, and finish on Khao San Road in the evening. For shopping, the Chatuchak Weekend Market is further out and is reached by metro or taxi. Khao San Road itself runs past the hotel, so the evening crowds are never far away.
