The side streets are quieter than the main road, yet the centre is reachable by Skytrain, so the area appeals to travellers who want a calmer street without losing easy access to the city.

The Phrom Phong BTS Station is about 500 m away, and the Skytrain runs to the shopping centres of Siam and Chit Lom, with Thong Lo, the next station along the line, also close by. Siam Paragon, a large shopping centre, is 4.7 km away. The Jim Thompson House, a museum in a traditional Thai house that once belonged to the American silk entrepreneur, is 5.4 km away, and the Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of Bangkok's largest markets, is 8.4 km away.

A day could begin at the Grand Palace, 9.2 km away, with the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in the same complex, one of the most visited sites in Thailand, and then return to Sukhumvit for an afternoon in the Siam shopping centres. In the evening the Skytrain makes the return to the villa simple, since the station is close to the front door.
