Boon Chan Ngarm PhraSumen offers one 85 m² home with a street view, air conditioning, blackout curtains and a private entrance, sleeping up to four guests. It also has a private bathroom, a coffee and tea maker, linens, toiletries and a hair dryer.

Phra Sumen Road runs along the edge of Banglamphu, on the border with Rattanakosin, the old city of Bangkok. The neighbourhood mixes guesthouses, small eateries and old shophouses, and it is a quieter base for the temples and the river than Khaosan Road itself. Several Chao Phraya ferry piers are in the area, so boat trips along the river start close by, and the Phra Arthit pier is 1 km away, so the river is never far from the home.

Khaosan Road is 600 m away, a lane of guesthouses, street food and night bars that is the best-known street in the area. The Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew) is 1.4 km away, inside the grounds of the Grand Palace, which is a short walk further on in the same old city. Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn on the Thonburi bank of the Chao Phraya, is about 2.3 km off, and the Sam Yot MRT station is nearby for trips further into the city.

A good day could start at the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, cross the river to Wat Arun in the afternoon, and end with dinner on Khaosan Road, a short walk back from the river.
