Bonita House

The Chao Phraya river runs close by, and boats are a good way to reach the sights across the water.

Khaosan Road, the backpacker street known for its guesthouses and bars, is 700 m from the hotel, and the temple Wat Sangwet Witsayaram is 100 m away. The Grand Palace, 1.8 km away, shares its grounds with the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew). Wat Arun, the riverside temple across the water, is 2.6 km from the hotel. A river pier on the Rama VIII bridge is also close by, and there is a museum on the history of Banglamphu nearby.

A good day could start at the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, then cross the river by boat to Wat Arun, and end back on Khaosan Road in the evening, when the street fills with food stalls and bars. Norrarat Market is a short distance away for everyday shopping, and the Bangkok Metropolitan Museum is nearby for a quieter stop between the temples.
