Sala Daeng BTS station is 100 m from the hotel, and Si Lom MRT station is a short walk away. The BTS line runs north to Siam, where Siam Paragon is one of the big shopping centres, a short ride north on the BTS. Patpong Night Market is 300 m away, a night market with stalls selling clothes and souvenirs. Jim Thompson House, a teak house museum linked to the American entrepreneur who revived the Thai silk trade, is a short ride away. Suvarnabhumi Airport is 23.7 km away.

A good first day could start at Jim Thompson House, continue on the BTS to the shops at Siam Paragon, and end with a walk through the Patpong market at night. Wat Arun and the Grand Palace, 5.2 km away, are a longer trip best made by taxi, and they make a full day with the rest of the old city.
