This is a place for beaches, boat trips and walks rather than for a city, and the islands nearby are reached by boat.

The guesthouse is 750 m from Long Beach, and the Koh Phi Phi Viewpoint, a lookout over the bays, is 1.1 km away. Ton Sai Bay, 1.2 km away, is the bay of the village itself. Viking Cave, on the neighbouring island of Phi Phi Leh, lies 5.3 km away and is known for the swallows that nest inside it.

Boat trips are the classic outing from Ko Phi Phi, and Ao Maya on Phi Phi Leh, the bay where the film The Beach was shot, is one of the best-known stops. Monkey Beach, nearby, is known for the macaques that live along its shore. In the rainy season the sea can be rough and boat trips may be cancelled, so the timing of an outing depends on the weather.
