The area has local markets and temples nearby, and it offers a more everyday side of Bangkok than the busiest tourist streets. Everyday shops, food stalls and local transport are close to the property along the main road.

Paradise Water Park is 1.3 km from the property, and Lak Song MRT Station is 3.2 km away for rail links into the city. The temples on the river are a longer trip: Wat Arun is 12.4 km away and The Grand Palace is 12.9 km away, so a visit to the old city is best planned as a separate trip across the river. Khaosan Road, the backpacker street near the Grand Palace, is about 13.9 km from the property.

A good day could begin at the temples of Wat Arun and the Grand Palace, then continue to Khaosan Road in the evening. Jim Thompson House, a museum of teak houses in the centre, makes a quieter stop, and the Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of the largest markets in Bangkok, is worth the longer trip at weekends.
