Blue Chitta Yoga & Freediving

Every room at Blue Chitta Yoga & Freediving has a sea view and air conditioning. The dormitory rooms measure 70 m² and are set up with a bunk bed for a single guest, and the bathroom is shared.

Blackout curtains, a fan, reading lights, linens, a socket near the bed and free bottled water are in the rooms, and the shared bathroom has a shower, toiletries and towels. Daily housekeeping is provided.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and Wi-Fi also works in the public areas of the hostel. Free parking is available, and a shuttle service is offered. Yoga classes for all levels take place in the dedicated yoga room, and the on-site diving centre provides guidance and equipment for novice and experienced divers, with snorkelling also available.

Open windows let the sea breeze into the yoga room, which is designed for calm and mindful practice. Daily housekeeping is provided, and the hostel has a terrace, lockers, a laptop safe box and 24-hour security. A doctor or nurse can be called when needed, and English and Thai are among the languages spoken.

Blue Chitta Yoga & Freediving is in Mae Haad, on Ko Tao, a small island in the Gulf of Thailand that belongs to Surat Thani province. The village around the island's main ferry area is close by, and the sand is a short walk away. Ko Tao is reached by ferry from Ko Samui or Chumphon, so the last part of any journey is by boat.

Haad Ao Mae beach is 150 m from the hostel, and Sairee Beach, a long strip of sand lined with diving schools and cafés, is 250 m away. The Welcome to Koh Tao Turtle Monument stands on the shore a short stroll off, and the Sairee Viewpoint overlooks Sairee Beach and Koh Nang Yuan. Koh Nang Yuan, a small island reached by boat, is 3.5 km away, and the nearest airport, Samui Airport, is 65.3 km away on Ko Samui.

A good day can start with a yoga class in the hostel's yoga room, then continue with snorkelling or a dive in the sea close by, and end with a boat trip to Koh Nang Yuan. Ocean Sound Yoga, 2.2 km away, is another yoga venue on the island, so the practice can continue away from the hostel. In the rainy months the sea can be rough, which can affect boat trips.
