Maikhao Beach is known for the planes that fly low over it on their way to the airport, and the Airplane Viewpoint at Maikhao Beach is a known place to watch them. Naiyang national Park, 3.2 km away, covers part of this coast with beaches and forest, and a sunset viewpoint is close by. Ni Yang Night Market is one of the local evening markets in the area.
