Ari BTS station is 400 m away, and from it the centre of Bangkok is a short ride on the Skytrain. The Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of the largest weekend markets in the city, is 2.1 km away. The Jim Thompson House is a museum of traditional Thai houses built around the former home of the American silk entrepreneur Jim Thompson. The Grand Palace, the royal complex on the Chao Phraya river, is 6.5 km away, and Wat Arun, with its tall spire on the west bank of the river, is further on. Wat Arun sits across the river from the Grand Palace.

A full day could start at the Chatuchak Weekend Market, then continue by Skytrain towards the centre for the Jim Thompson House and Siam Paragon, a large shopping centre, before heading to the river for the temples and the Grand Palace. Back in Ari, the Skytrain makes the return to the poshtel quick after a full day out.
