Black Sheep Hostel

All rooms at Black Sheep Hostel have air conditioning, and each is set up for one guest. The accommodation is organised as beds in dormitory-style rooms, with both mixed and female-only options, and some rooms have bunk beds and a street view.

Several rooms measure 35 m² and some have a private entrance, while others have blackout curtains, a fan and a reading light. Some rooms have a flat-screen TV and a streaming service, and others have linens and a shower. Some rooms have a socket near the bed, and the rooms with a street view look onto the street outside. Guests in the dormitory rooms share the space with other travellers.

The hostel has free WiFi in all rooms and in the public areas, a shared lounge and TV area, and a bar, a coffee shop and restaurants, with food delivery and a happy hour available too. Massage is available on site, and daily housekeeping is provided for the rooms.

For the water and the island around the hostel, watersports equipment rental, motorised water sports, snorkelling, diving, fishing, hiking and tours are all available, and car hire and a taxi service are available too.

Guests can store bags in lockers or with luggage storage, and the property has 24-hour security and a terrace. Bicycle parking is provided, and free parking is available nearby.

Haad Rin is a beach village on Ko Pha-ngan, and Black Sheep Hostel sits in its streets close to the sand. The village is one of the island's liveliest corners, with bars, guesthouses and shops along the roads, and the Full Moon Party is held here. The main road runs through the village, so a short walk covers the beach, the bars and the pier. The nightlife and the water are close by.

Haad Rin Nok beach is 400 m from the hostel, and the Haad Rin Viewpoint is 600 m away. The Haad Rin Queen ferry terminal is 250 m off, and Thong Nai Pan Yai Beach, a quieter stretch of sand 10.4 km away, is reached by road across the island. Snorkelling, diving and watersports are possible close to the village itself. The hostel is also a short walk from the ferry pier.

A simple day from the hostel could start with a visit to Haad Rin Nok beach, continue to the Haad Rin Viewpoint, and end with an afternoon at Thong Nai Pan Yai if you want a quieter stretch of sand. The evenings are spent in the village itself, where the Full Moon Party is the best known gathering on the island.
