Black Pearl

Black Pearl offers rooms for up to three guests, with king beds, double beds or two single beds depending on the room. Several rooms have a city view, and one room has no window at all. The rooms range from standard doubles to deluxe rooms of 30 m², and the bed and view change from one to the next.

Some rooms have a balcony or terrace, and several include air conditioning, a mini bar and a refrigerator, with satellite or cable channels on the TV. Extra beds depend on the room you choose, and the in-room equipment varies from one room to the next.

The hotel has a 24-hour front desk, a restaurant, a bar and a coffee shop, along with a massage service. Guests also have a shared lounge with a TV, and activities include billiards, diving, fishing, hiking and a golf course on site.

Services include tours, car hire, a taxi service and an airport transfer, and there is on-site parking. Laundry service, ironing service, daily housekeeping, luggage storage and a concierge are also available.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and in the public areas, and the hotel has a private beach. Pets are allowed, and the hotel has an elevator. The front desk is open 24 hours a day.

Patong is one of Phuket's busiest beach towns, a district of hotels, restaurants and nightlife on the island's coast. Black Pearl is within the town itself, with Patong Beach 200 m away, so the sand is close enough for a swim before or after a day out. The beach road has street-food stalls and massage shops, and the streets around the hotel fill up in the evening.

Bangla Road, the lively street of bars and clubs, is 550 m away, and the Banzaan Fresh Market (Night) is a food market with stalls that open in the evening. For a change of scene, Karon Beach is 3.4 km away and offers a longer stretch of sand, while Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong), 6.6 km away, is one of Phuket's most important Buddhist temples. Big Buddha Phuket, 7.1 km away, stands on a hilltop with views across the island.

A day could combine a morning at Patong Beach, an afternoon at Wat Chalong and an evening at Bangla Road. Taxis and songthaews are the usual way to reach the temples and the further beaches, so plan on them for the longer trips. In the evening, Bangla Road and the night market are both a short walk from Black Pearl, and the choice of which to visit first depends on whether you want music or food.
