Ben's Pool Villa Aonang (Baan Techin) is in the Ao Nang area of Krabi, on the Andaman coast of southern Thailand, where limestone cliffs rise straight out of the sea. The area is a busy strip of street-food stalls, tour offices and longtail boat piers, with boats leaving for the islands nearby. The coast here is shaped by its limestone karsts, and the sea is the main reason most visitors come to the area, with the beaches, cliffs and island trips all within a short boat ride or drive of the villa.

Ao Nang Beach, the town's main beach, is 3.6 km away. Railay Beach, 4.6 km away, is reached by longtail boat and is known for its towering limestone cliffs, with Phra Nang Cave on the same peninsula. Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), 11.8 km away, is a hillside Buddhist temple complex with a long stairway to the top.

A day could begin with a longtail boat from the Ao Nang pier to Railay and end at the Krabi Weekend Night Market, 8 km away, a market with food stalls and street vendors. Poda Island, a small island with a beach, is also reached by longtail boat. Krabi International Airport is 15.9 km away, the closest airport to the villa.
