Bed and Ink Hostel

Bed and Ink Hostel rents beds in dormitories, each booked for one person. The mixed dormitories have six, eight or ten beds, a standard six-bed mixed dormitory is also available, and a seven-bed dormitory is for women only.

Some dormitories have air conditioning, and Free WiFi is available in all rooms. A 60 m² mixed dormitory has a full kitchen and a choice of bed set-ups. The 20 m² female-only dormitory has a shower in a shared bathroom.

Bed and Ink Hostel has a kitchen and BBQ facilities for guests. Free parking is available, and Free WiFi covers all rooms as well as the public areas. The kitchen and BBQ facilities let guests cook their own meals.

The hostel also offers diving, snorkelling, fishing, hiking, tours and ticket services, plus a dart board. Lockers and luggage storage are available, and private check-in and check-out can be arranged as part of the stay.

Laundry and dry cleaning services are offered, housekeeping is daily, shops are part of the facilities, and English is one of the languages spoken at the hostel. Guests who want to explore the island can book the tours and ticket services offered on site.

Mae Haad is the port village on Ko Tao, a small island in the Gulf of Thailand reached by boat, and it is where passenger boats from the mainland and Koh Samui arrive. Bed and Ink Hostel is 150 m from the ferry pier and 140 m from the beach, so the boats are a short walk away. Dive schools and shops line the village streets, and the island is known for diving.

Sairee Beach, the island's best-known beach, is 650 m away. The Sairee Viewpoint, 1.6 km away, overlooks Sairee Beach and Koh Nang Yuan, a small islet 3.8 km offshore that is reached by boat. The Welcome to Koh Tao Turtle Monument is also close to the village, and two shrines, dedicated to King Chulalongkorn and Queen Sunandra Kumariratana, stand nearby. Jansom Bay and Shark Bay are also along the island's coast, further from the village.

A simple day can start at Sairee Beach, continue up to the viewpoint for the view over the bay, and end with a boat trip to Koh Nang Yuan. Diving and snorkelling are the island's main draw, and the hostel offers both, with fishing and hiking too. The beach, the viewpoint and the boat trip together make a full day from Mae Haad.
