In the evening the promenade is a place for a slow stroll, and the town's cafes and restaurants serve fresh seafood alongside Thai dishes.

Pang Ka Beach is 1.1 km away, the nearest beach to the house, and Nathon Pier, 5.6 km away, is the island's main ferry terminal for crossings. Na Muang Waterfall, 7.1 km away, is a good inland day out from the coast, and Samui Airport is 16.5 km away for flights.

A good day could begin with a walk through Nathon's markets and a visit to Wat Nara Charoen Suk, then a drive inland to Na Muang Waterfall. In the evening, Lamai Walking Street, 3 km away, is the place for stalls and food. Ferries from Nathon Pier also run to the smaller islands nearby, so the town is a starting point for island trips as well as a base for the main island. Coming back to the house after a day out, the coast road and the market stalls make Nathon an easy place to end the day.
