Ban's Diving Resort

Ban's Diving Resort has garden-view rooms and a mountain-view bungalow, and several rooms sleep up to three guests. Some rooms open onto a balcony or terrace, and the mountain-view bungalow's balcony looks out over the hills and mountains of the island.

The rooms have showers, and Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, with bathrobes, a DVD/CD player and a mini bar in some of them. Some rooms have air conditioning, and most of the garden-view rooms have a hair dryer and an electric kettle.

The resort has an outdoor swimming pool and an indoor one, along with a fitness centre, a children's swimming pool and a private beach. Diving, snorkelling, canoeing and fishing are offered, as are massage treatments and tours.

Restaurants, a bar, a coffee shop and room service cover the food side, and a buffet breakfast is served. A breakfast takeaway service is also available, along with BBQ facilities, and food delivery is also offered.

For day-to-day needs there is a laundry service, a convenience store, a salon and cash withdrawal, and daily housekeeping is provided. Currency exchange is also available, and safety deposit boxes are provided. Free parking is available, and bicycle parking is available as well.

Sairee Beach is the main beach on Ko Tao, a small island in the Gulf of Thailand that is known above all for diving. Ban's Diving Resort is 50 m from the sand, and dive schools, beach bars and small restaurants are close by, giving the area a lively feel. The resort has its own private beach as well. Ko Tao is reached by boat from the mainland and from Ko Samui.

Around the resort, the King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) Monument stands close to the beach, and Sairee Viewpoint, a lookout over Sairee Beach, is 1.2 km away. Ao Tanote Beach is a quieter bay further along the coast, and Koh Nang Yuan, a small islet with its own viewpoint, is 3.1 km away and reached by boat. Samui Airport is 65.8 km away on Ko Samui, so the last leg of the journey to Ko Tao is by boat.

Diving is the main activity here, and a good day can combine a dive or snorkelling trip with a walk to Sairee Viewpoint and dinner at one of the restaurants along the beach. Ao Tanote Beach offers a quieter afternoon away from the main strip, and massage treatments on site are an easy way to rest after a day on the water. Boat trips to the islets and bays depend on the sea, so plans can change in rough weather.
