Phaya Thai BTS Station is 450 m away, and that Skytrain stop makes it simple to reach the rest of the city. Jim Thompson House, the former home of the American silk entrepreneur Jim Thompson and now a museum, is 800 m from the hotel, and Siam Paragon, a large shopping centre, is 1.2 km away. The Grand Palace and Wat Arun, on the river in the Old City, are a longer trip from here and are best planned as a separate outing.

A good first day could begin with Jim Thompson House, then take in Siam Paragon and the BTS before heading to the riverside. The Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, which sits within its grounds, are sights to save for a full day. Because the temples are farther from the hotel, plan a separate morning for them and use the afternoon for the shopping and river areas, where Asiatique - The Riverfront is a riverside shopping and entertainment complex.
