A shrine honouring the monk Luang Pu Thuat stands in the village, and Thong Nai Pan Yai Beach is further along the coast, 10.3 km away.

A day out can take in Salad Beach and Ao Chaloklum Bay, both on Ko Pha-ngan. Ko Samui has its own beaches and an airport, and boats link the two islands. Samui Airport is 14.2 km away on neighbouring Ko Samui, across the water, so the last stretch of a journey from there is by boat.
