Location & what to see
Nakhon Sawan is a provincial city in central Thailand, at the point where the Ping and Nan rivers meet to form the Chao Phraya. Bangrak Resort is in the city itself, among local streets, parks and temples, rather than on a beach, so the everyday life of a working Thai provincial town is close at hand.
Mahathep City Park is 900 m away, a green space in the town. Khao Raet, a hill 1.1 km away, is one of the few high points near the city, and the Cultural Hall of Nakhon Sawan lies 1.6 km off. The Nakhon Sawan Provincial Stadium is also close by, and Saint Ann Cathedral is a short distance further on. The Nakhon Sawan Bus Terminal is 1.4 km away for onward journeys by bus, and Pak Nam Pho Station is 5.1 km away for trains.
A morning can begin at Wat Phrom Chariyawat, a Buddhist temple in town, followed by a walk through Mahathep City Park. In the afternoon the Cultural Hall makes a simple next stop. The viewpoint at the origin of the Chao Phraya river lies farther out, so it makes a separate outing from the town, best planned for a day with time to spare.
What guests say
