Location & what to see
The hotel is in Bangkok Riverside, on the Thonburi side of the Chao Phraya river in the Bangkok Yai district. The neighbourhood mixes temples, mosques and canals with local homes and small streets, and the old city lies just across the water. Wat Hong Rattanaram and Tonson Mosque are within a few hundred metres of the hotel.
Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, is 450 m away on the riverbank, its tall central prang decorated with porcelain. Several ferry piers are within a short walk, and crossing the river is the simplest way to reach the Grand Palace, 1.2 km away on the opposite bank. Khaosan Road, the backpacker street with street food and guesthouses, is 2.3 km away. Itsaraphap MRT station is 400 m from the hotel, and it is an easy stop for travelling further across the city by train.
A good day could start at Wat Arun, continue by ferry to the Grand Palace, and end with dinner along Khaosan Road, and several of the temples can be combined in one afternoon. Wichai Prasit Fort is also close to the hotel. Suvarnabhumi Airport is 28.8 km away, a much longer trip than the short walks to the temples.
