The apartment is on Sukhumvit Road, one of Bangkok's main commercial streets, in the Khlong Toei district, where hotels, shops and office buildings line the road. The surrounding streets mix modern shopping malls with older neighbourhoods, and the sky train and metro run through the district.

Asok BTS station is 300 m away, and Sukhumvit MRT station is 450 m, so the sky train and the metro are the easiest ways to reach the rest of the city. Siam Paragon, one of the big shopping malls of central Bangkok, is 2.8 km away, and Jim Thompson House, a museum of traditional teak houses set in gardens, is 3.6 km away. The Grand Palace, in the old city, is 7.4 km away.

A day out could start with a morning at the Chatuchak Weekend Market, a large weekend market in the north of the city, followed by an afternoon at the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, which stand next to each other in the old city. The airports are further out, so the airport trip is worth planning before you arrive, and the sky train is the simplest link from the district to the rest of the city, with trains running along Sukhumvit Road.
