A good day could start at Chatuchak Weekend Market, which opens at weekends and can take up half a day or more, then continue at Jim Thompson House, a teak house museum that is easy to combine with a walk around the nearby streets. In the old city, Wat Phra Chetuphon and the Grand Palace make a full day of temples and palaces, and Wat Arun, known as the Temple of Dawn, stands across the river from the Grand Palace.
