Siam Paragon, a large shopping centre, is 3.6 km away and the Chatuchak Weekend Market is 6.7 km away. Suvarnabhumi Airport is 20.6 km away, and Don Mueang Airport is at a similar distance, so taxis are the usual way to reach the airports from here.

A good day could start at Jim Thompson House, a museum of Thai silk set in traditional Thai houses, and continue to the Grand Palace, 8.3 km away, where the Temple of the Emerald Buddha stands inside the same complex. For a different evening, Khaosan Road is a well-known street for food and nightlife. Both sights are easy to combine in a single day.
