Location & what to see
The property is on Chaofah Road in Paknam, one of the neighbourhoods of Krabi Town, the provincial capital and a working town rather than a resort. The streets around it are lined with shophouses, small shops and food stalls, and the mood is local, with markets and shrines in the streets around the hotel.
Within a few hundred metres are the City Pillar Shrine, a Thai spirit shrine next to the Town Hall, and Wat Kaew Korawaram, a temple with a pagoda. The Krabi Walking Street (500 m) is the place for evening food stalls and shops, and the piers nearby serve boat trips out to the islands.
Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea) is 7.2 km away and is reached by a long climb of steps to its cave shrine. The beaches of Railay and Ao Nang are about ten kilometres away; Railay is reached only by boat, so boats from the piers are the natural link for a day on the coast. Staying in Krabi Town makes the coastal trips a simple outing from the piers, with the town's restaurants and evening stalls waiting on your return.
