Bad Monkey Samui

The rooms at Bad Monkey Samui are dormitory-style, with bunk beds in sets of eight, ten or fourteen per room, and every room shown has a city view. Several rooms also have air conditioning, and some open onto a balcony or terrace where guests can sit outside.

Several rooms have a shared bathroom with a shower and towels, and some have an in-room safe box for valuables. Linens are provided in several rooms, and fold-up beds are fitted in some of them, so the layout can be adjusted to the number of guests in the room. Each room is set up for one guest, with the bunk beds as the sleeping space.

Bad Monkey Samui has safety deposit boxes, lockers and luggage storage, so guests can leave their valuables and bags while they explore Koh Samui. The hotel also has 24-hour security, a taxi service and an airport transfer, and tours can be arranged.

Wi-Fi is free in all rooms, and it is also available in the public areas, which are air-conditioned. The hotel has a terrace, and English and Thai are spoken at the hotel.

Private check-in and check-out are offered, and bicycle parking is also available.

Bad Monkey Samui is on Koh Samui, Thailand's second-largest island after Phuket, in the Gulf of Thailand, and the island has its own airport. Koh Samui has many beaches, and Chaweng Yai Beach, the nearest of them, is 700 m from the hotel. It is a long stretch of sand with bars and restaurants along it, so the evenings there are lively, and the beach road has street-food stalls and massage shops. Central Festival Samui, a shopping centre, is 150 m from the hotel, so everyday shops are close by.

Within a short walk, the night market is 200 m away, and a hospital and an ATM are a few hundred metres off. Further out, the Big Buddha, one of the island's best-known landmarks, is 4.1 km away. The Samui Crocodile Farm, a zoo with crocodiles, is also nearby, and the Samui Elephant Sanctuary Bophut is a further place to visit for a day out with animals.

A day here can begin on Chaweng Yai Beach and continue with a visit to the Big Buddha or to the Samui Elephant Sanctuary Bophut. In the evening, the night market is close enough to walk to from the hotel. Samui Airport is 1.6 km away for departures.
